Vlad Toie
Security Engineer at Zellic
Vlad’s cybersecurity career began in high school with Capture The Flag (CTF) competitions, setting the stage for his professional path. At Deloitte, he refined his skills as a penetration tester, showcasing a sharp ability to identify and resolve security vulnerabilities. Transitioning to blockchain technology, Vlad has dedicated the last three years to Ethereum security, bringing fresh insights to this rapidly evolving field.
Currently, he excels as a Security Engineer at Zellic, focusing on Solidity-based systems. His work encompasses Automated Market Makers (AMMs), cross-chain bridges, and a variety of decentralized finance (DeFi) primitives, such as Scroll, Synapse Protocol, LayerZero, SushiSwap, etc.
Smart Contracts Security 101
“Smart Contracts Security 101” is a compact workshop focused on exploring the unique aspects of Solidity and the overarching security considerations in state machine systems, such as the Ethereum Virtual Machine.
This session is meticulously crafted to guide participants through the nuances of Solidity programming, highlighting the quirks that often lead to vulnerabilities in smart contracts. Additionally, it offers a brief yet insightful exploration into the world of decentralized finance (DeFi), focusing on economic attacks and their implications for the future of blockchain systems.
